SUMMARY:Empowering readers to push back on misinformation: An introduction to FactSparrow
DESCRIPTION:On social media\, falsehoods often travel faster than journalists can debunk them. How can readers be empowered to stand up for high quality information in the digital public square? \nRepustar\, a new organization devoted to equipping the public with tools to counter misinformation\, has some ideas for grounding more conversations in fact. Their new tool\, a Twitter bot named FactSparrow\, allows anyone to introduce facts and news coverage into conversations. \nJoin an interview between INN’s Jonathan Kealing and Repustar’s Chandran Sankaran\, as they discuss the goals and early results of this technology\, as well as the opportunities it presents for nonprofit news organizations. \nThis webinar is sponsored by Repustar.
