When you give to INN’s NewsMatch, you support independent, nonprofit newsrooms that are accountable to communities, not corporate interests.
NewsMatch is a collaborative fundraising program that benefits members of the Institute for Nonprofit News (INN) Network — outlets across North America vetted for financial transparency, editorial independence, and original public service reporting.
Through NewsMatch, your gift unlocks millions of dollars in matching funds for independent reporting that puts people over profits.
Since 2017, NewsMatch has helped raise $400 million and built support for independent, nonprofit newsrooms through:
- A matching-gift campaign to inspire community giving
- Training and tools to build newsrooms’ long-term fundraising skills
- An awareness campaign to help individuals discover quality news sources
