Legal Hotline
The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press (RCFP) operates a 24/7 Legal Hotline for journalists and newsrooms who need an attorney. If there are threats of legal action during the reporting process or after publication, Reporters Committee attorneys can provide guidance, referrals, and direct, pro bono representation to journalists and newsrooms.
FOIA Hotline
The Reporters Committee Legal Defense and FOIA Hotline is available to journalists and media lawyers at any time, but nonemergency requests or questions about services and publications will be answered more promptly during normal office hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time).
For state and federal FOIA filings: Visit ifoia.org.
