Cultivating Crowds: Bringing long-term audience strategy into focus

Serving the public is mission one for nonprofit news organizations and its audience impacts every part of the organization. INN will lead a half-day workshop for news organization leaders on incorporating audience growth into organizational strategies — from modeling the impacts of growing audience on donation revenue to building audience loyalty. Participants will leave prepared with the right strategies to reach their goals.

Led by INN’s Sam Cholke with support from other coaches and leaders, participants will gain knowledge about the best audience growth and engagement strategies for their organization to invest in based on the latest research and industry insights. Participants will get early access and training for audience development tools INN is designing with top news audience experts. Finally, we’ll get hands on with participants’ own audience data to build models and develop custom metrics to track and evaluate the meaningful progress the organization is making towards its audience goals and how to communicate that progress to stakeholders inside and outside the organization.

Participants will leave not only with the insights into deepening their audience goals and strategies, but the tools and skills to see the big picture and communicate each part of it effectively to their team and supporters.
