From the Field: Fundraising on a Shoestring

About the speaker

Janice Thompson, Director of Development and Operations for the Harpswell Anchor newspaper, has 35 years of development experience. She spent the first part of her career at MIT and Harvard, and then went on to lead advancement teams at places like The Boston Athenaeum and The Meadowbrook School of Weston. She specializes in capital campaign planning/implementation; annual fundraising and alumni relations; stewardship; cultivating and soliciting six- and seven-figure gifts; working with boards; developing new markets; messaging; marketing; and strategic planning.
