INN + Google: Tools for covering the 2024 elections – Visualizations

Help your audience visualize your stories! Learn how to use Google’s tools to do everything from making simple GIFs to building a range of engaging graphics in Flourish. We’ll also look at mapping tools and the Google Earth suite of products, including how to create storytelling projects, fly-over animations and timelapses.

This is the second session in a series showcasing some of the best free tools that help journalists report on and tell stories. Each of the four sessions will feature examples from campaign and election reporting, as well as other interesting stories, and are meant to be actionable, with tips and use cases you can bring into your work right away.
