About Andrew Simon

Andrew Simon is the editor-in-chief of the Chronicle of Philanthropy. He joined the Chronicle in April 2024. Simon has been an editorial leader at multiple award-winning media organizations. As the director of leadership programming at Grist, he launched or co-launched the Grist 50, an annual list of emerging leaders; Fix, a network and events program; and Temperature Check, Grist’s first podcast. Simon also started a journalism fellowship for emerging talent and was a founding leader of the Uproot Project, a network for environmental journalists of color. He’s also held editorial roles at McKinsey & Company, Fast Company, ESPN, and Complex Media.
