About Ariel Zirulnick
Ariel Zirulnick is director of news experimentation at LAist. She works at the intersection of engagement, editorial, product, and revenue strategy, exploring new, sustainable ways to serve LAist’s audiences and the broader community.
She is passionate about doing journalism with and for communities and building systems that make that sustainable. She is an analyst with LION Publishers and an instructor with CUNY’s Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program and their News Product Management Certificate Program. She co-founded Perspectives, an effort to introduce journalists to new strategies for solving systemic problems by bringing in expertise from outside news.
