Ilana Newman lives in rural Southwest Colorado where she writes about everything rural for the Daily Yonder. She especially enjoys covering the environment, LGBTQ+ conversations, healthcare, and arts and culture. As the Cortez Reporting Fellow, she also supports the local media environment through multimedia storytelling and collaborations.
