About Kate (k.e.) Harloe
I’m an independent journalist based in Albany, New York. My work has appeared in Mother Jones, Nieman Lab, San Francisco Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle, The Drift, and elsewhere. I’m also a member of and contributing writer to the new cooperative publication, Flaming Hydra. My work has been supported by grants and residencies from News Futures, Mesa Refuge, Blue Mountain Center, the Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics, and others. I’m a proud member of News Futures, the Media Power Collaborative, and the Freelance Solidarity Project, a chapter of freelance media workers within the National Writers Union.
