A visionary and innovative leader in digital journalism, Andrew DeVigal has been at the forefront of transforming the media landscape through pioneering online initiatives, fostering deep community engagement, and leading complex, multi-disciplinary teams. With decades of experience, including a groundbreaking tenure at The New York Times and transformative leadership at the Agora Journalism Center, DeVigal brings a track record of building sustainable systems and expanding audience engagement. He holds the endowed chair in journalism innovation and civic engagement and is the director of the Agora Journalism Center at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism & Communication.
