OpenSecrets is seeking a new member of our Research team. This Researcher will be responsible for helping to collect, curate, and add value to all types of money in politics data, from the local to presidential level. As a researcher they will help OpenSecrets create tools to help connect money in politics data with issues of importance in American life, turning millions of data points into meaningful and impactful resources for the public.
This Researcher will work closely with other staff at OpenSecrets, including current Research & Media staff. They will also work with new and existing partners in the media, the advocacy community, and the general public, to identify ways in which money in politics data can be presented to reach new audiences and provide value to existing debates. They should be familiar with working with large and sensitive datasets, and they ideally will be familiar with administering and analyzing survey data.
