The community engagement manager is a hybrid position combining marketing, communications and development — ideal for an outgoing creative with top-notch people skills, attention to detail, and a passion for public interest journalism. The community engagement manager leads WyoFile’s efforts to grow and strengthen its community base, content reach, brand awareness and donor support by engaging WyoFile readers; developing, managing and executing WyoFile’s social media strategy; acknowledging and connecting WyoFile donors; participating in fund-drive planning and execution; and tracking key metrics.
Adapting WyoFile content for social media, managing its distribution and moderating the resulting dialog.
Engaging WyoFile donors to esure gifts are appropriately acknowledged and tracked, and supporters feel connected.
Engaging WyoFile’s readers to turn first-time readers into return readers, return readers into subscribers, subscribers into donors, donors into ongoing supporters.
Helping plan, develop and execute seasonal fund drives.
Tracking and reporting on social media and development metrics in order to inform organizational goals.
Organizing and presenting at WyoFile public events.
Working closely with WyoFile’s chief executive and editor to design and implement fundraising systems, identify strategic opportunities and creatively problem solve.
Helping the WyoFile Operations Manager write grant proposals and develop new foundation relationships.
Performing other duties as needed.

This is a full time position based in Lander, Wyoming. Other Wyoming locations will be considered for the right candidate. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license. Up to 25 percent travel may be required.
