Please note that INN welcomes invitations to speak on panels that reflect the full diversity of the country and the news community. More than half of nonprofit newsrooms are founded and/or directed by women, and nearly 40 percent of our members have a high representation on their staffs of Black, indigenous or people of color, with 20 percent having BIPOC leadership. We generally decline to speak on panels that are only one gender or race unless it’s specific to the topic, and we encourage organizations to consider age and other ways to be inclusive as well.
