Collaborations across INN and the Rural News Network are a testament to the power of storytelling, audience engagement and informing voters.
The Institute for Nonprofit News’ editorial collaborations increase the reach, impact, and sustainability of nonprofit news. Serving communities across the country, these editorial initiatives make reporting and long-term changes possible that otherwise wouldn’t happen.
Dating back to 2019, more than 100 news outlets have participated in INN editorial collaborations, investigating pressing issues such as climate change, access to health care and educational barriers. Since 2022, INN has distributed $1.4 million in reporting, engagement and editing stipends to outlets participating in INN collaborations.
The Rural News Network (RNN) is INN’s first sustained reporting collaboration, an ambitious effort to ensure rural communities have access to representative, accurate, trustworthy news.
If you’d like to propose a collaboration with INN members, or if you’re a funder interested in how you can support INN collaborations, please be in touch.
